Dear Colleagues, Guests, and Friends,

We are very pleased to invite you to the International Conference
'Plant Gene Discovery Technologies'
in Vienna!

Vienna is old, Vienna is new – and so varied: from Gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral to the Imperial Palace, from magnificent Baroque buildings to “golden” Art Nouveau of the Secession. More famous composers have lived here than in any other city – in Vienna, music is literally in the air: Waltzes and operettas have their home here. Record-breaking: In Vienna, there are over 27 castles and more than 150 palaces.

The International Conference Plant Gene Discovery Technologies (February 23rd to 26th, 2011) will cover the recent advances in following research areas:
- Reverse Genetics & Mutants Technologies
- Gene Discovery by TILLING
- Sequencing Technologies
- Protein Sequencing & Protein Discovery
- Microarrays
- Protein Microarrays
- Gene Discovery using “OMICS”
- Bioinformatics
- Evaluation and Application of Sequencing
- System Biology & Gene Network Discovery

Amongst the invited speakers are internationally known names such as J.-K. Zhu, G.W. Haughn, B.J. Till, R.L. Last, K. Shinozaki, S.B. Gelvin, S. Baginsky, B.C. Meyers, G. Pesole, C. N. Stewart, Jr., J.-F. Gibrat, M.Matsui, B. Ülker and others. Approximately 350-400 participants are expected including almost 40 speakers and many presentations selected from abstracts.
